Urrugne is at the gateway to Spain, 20 km from Biarritz, between Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Hendaye, close to Ciboure, Ascain, Sare & Biriatou.

Urrugne (Urruña in Basque) covers 5000 hectares, between the coast with its wild high cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees mountains, gently descending from La Rhune (900m) towards Biriatou and the River Bidasoa.

Urrugne has a marked country character despite its closeness to the beach (Socoa) and major coastal resorts. It has maintained and protects its Basque traditions.
